Summary
In 1864, hotelier Johannes Badrutt helped establish St. Moritz as a winter tourism destination, encouraging visitors to experience the Engadin during the colder months. Over time, activities such as skiing, skating and curling contributed to the resort’s development as a major center for winter sports.
This augmented reality experience brings Johannes Badrutt back to life as a virtual character who shares his story and introduces visitors to the history of St. Moritz and its alpine heritage.
For this project, Artanim performed the full-performance capture of Johannes Badrutt, including body and facial capture, and created the animation of the virtual character.

Summary
Magic Window is an augmented reality choreographic piece created for the renovation of the Aula des Cèdres in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Using a mobile phone or tablet, visitors see the Aula des Cèdres in real time while virtual dancers appear within the space and unfold throughout the site.
For this piece, Artanim created 3D bodies of the dancers using body scanning technology and performed the motion capture and animation of the virtual dancers.

Summary
VR_I is a multi-user immersive VR dance piece by choreographer Gilles Jobin, developed in collaboration with Artanim. The work explores new territories for contemporary dance by questioning scale, spatial perception and the relationship between physical and virtual presence.
Five participants enter the experience together and move freely through a series of virtual environments. Each person is represented by a full-body avatar that reproduces their movements in real time, allowing them to see, interact and communicate with the other participants.
Virtual dancers appear throughout the experience, changing scale from miniature figures to giants and transforming the participants’ perception of space. Through these shifts in perspective, VR_I creates a social and contemplative encounter between dance, embodiment and immersive technology.
VR_I was selected for the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and received the Grand Prix Innovation and the Public Award for Best Performance at the 49th Festival du nouveau cinéma de Montréal. The work toured internationally between 2017 and 2020.

Summary
Le Collier Magique is the first volume of Les Voyages Fantastiques de Téo & Léonie, an educational adventure series that introduces young readers to historical figures, places and inventions through storytelling.
Artanim developed the mobile augmented reality application accompanying the first volume. By interacting with the book, readers can discover additional educational content and bring a selection of Leonardo da Vinci’s inventions to life as 3D objects.
The experience extends the story beyond the printed page, combining reading, 3D visualization and augmented reality. The adventure is also available as an audiobook narrated by Benoît Allemane.
