Summary

Light Tracking is an interactive presentation system developed for Kenzan SA that combines video tracking, lighting and real-time graphics to enhance the presentation of physical objects.

For this application, the system tracks the position and movement of a watch and uses this data to dynamically control the projection of light and graphical content around it. The watch remains highlighted while the projected visuals follow and respond to its movements in real time.

The Light Tracking system was used during OMEGA press conferences at Baselworld 2013.

Summary

Wrist Watch is an interactive installation created for Baselworld 2012, inviting visitors to place their hand inside one of four illuminated columns and explore virtual worlds inspired by four emblematic Tissot watches.

As visitors move and rotate their wrist, animated 3D environments unfold around it, creating the sensation that the hand is immersed directly within each watch universe.

Artanim was commissioned by HEAD – Genève and Trivial Mass Production to develop the hand and wrist tracking system using Microsoft Kinect. The tracked position and orientation of the wrist were used to control the interactive 3D content in real time.

The concept was developed by Cassandre Poirier-Simon with Raphaël Muñoz, Baptiste Milési and Nadya Suvorova, while Rob van Leijsen and Laure Bretagnolle designed the physical installation.
