Summary

In 1864, Johannes Badrutt was the owner of the new Kulm Hotel St. Moritz. He was the first to bring winter tourists in the Alps to experience the white winter holiday, who expressed their inventiveness by introducing a host of new winter activities that included skiing, skating, and curling – all in the Kulm Park. Since then, St Moritz became the birthplace of winter sports. In this augmented reality (AR) application, Apelab brings Johannes Badrutt back to life who tells us his story and praises the alpine resort of St. Moritz.

For this project, we performed the full performance capture (body and face) and animation of the virtual Johannes Badrutt.
